It’s all done with just a couple of mouse clicks – easy even if you’re a computer newbie. To get the latest Windows 10 NVIDIA driver, you need to go to NVIDIA website, find the drivers according to your specific Windows version and graphics card model (see How to Quickly Get Operating System Version).
Once you’ve downloaded the correct driver for your system, double-click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Disadvantage: If the driver manufacturer (e.g., HP) is down, you don't get your driver. It may take a long time to download them to your PC.
Most will not support 64-bit systems; one or two may support Vista 64-bit.
Option 1: Update Nvidia drivers manually – You’ll need some computer skills and patience to update your drivers this way, you need to find exactly the right driver online, download it and install it step by step.
OROption 2 (Recommended): Update Nvidia drivers automatically – This is the quickest and easiest option.
Updates are usually welcome because they bring to the table improvements, bug fixes, optimizations, and so on.
However sometimes updates can cause trouble, as is the case with the latest NVIDIA Ge Force driver 364.47 which NVIDIA has since pulled due to numerous reports from customers that the update is causing a fair bit of trouble.
If you happen to have a pending installation of 364.47, we recommend that you do not install it and either use the new 364.51 beta version or wait for the WHQL certified version.”However as NVIDIA states, this update is in beta as they are awaiting on Microsoft to approve the polished version, but if you trust NVIDIA knows what they’re doing then you can go ahead and check it out, especially if you have been experiencing any of the issues mentioned above.
Disadvantage: Windows 64-bit systems require 64-bit drivers. If the update tool does not support your 64-bit system, the update tool is useless.
Driver Finder is an advanced driver scanning, updating and downloading utility for Windows-based PCs.
(By the way, Driver Finder™ updates ALL your device drivers so it's not just n Vidia drivers you'll be updating.) Oh!
And here's another reason why MILLIONS of users prefer Driver Finder™. Uses substandard technology or applies a very manual way of finding and cataloging drivers. Plus, this is prone to incorrect driver classification.
